Team C Social Studies

 CHECK for prior knowledge -what do I KNOW NOW?  CHECK for understanding -what have I LEARNED?  PRACTICE important skills  EXTRA Notes for studying

 Journals are done RIGHT AFTER YOUR AGENDA IS COMPLETE (when bell rings)  There will always be a question or prompt on the front board. FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!  You will have around 5 MINUTES to do your journal  We will DISCUSS/ CORRECT your journal as a class when the timer goes off (NOTES!)  REMEMBER!!! EFFORT is the key!

 Fill-in a chart  Reading with questions  Quick Quiz  Written paragraph MUST BE QUESTION INCLUSIVE If I read the paragraph, is the subject of it CLEAR??

You earn points for the following: * did you TRY to do the journal? * did you take NOTES if you struggled? * does your journal have CORRECT titles? * does your journal have a CORRECT heading? * Is your paper NEAT (no fringees!) with your best work?

 Journals are a part of your 30% homework/ classwork grade  Journals will be collected & graded either WEEKLY or every other week  Remember, the EFFORT put in is the key, NOT HOW CORRECT IT IS!

 CHECK THE WEBSITE!  SEE the homework calendar when you get back. They will all be there for you to write down!  It is YOUR responsibility to get missed journals and complete them to earn full credit!
