Three development regions are functional North Region thousands inhabitants (Nomenclature of Territorial Units for European Statistics - NUTS 2) Center Region thousands inhabitants (NUTS 2) South Region thousands inhabitants (NUTS 3) Regional Development Councils and Regional Development Agencies are created and are operational.

Participation of the Republic of Moldova into EU programs in the field of regional policy and local governance. 11. Organizing workshops and meetings at all levels. 12. Discussing topics of mutual interest relating to regional policy.
