CAPITAL The capitol of my state is Sacramento. the capital city is located in the Northeast part of the state. My state has a population of 33,871,648.

SYMBOLS The state flower is the California Poppy The state bird is the : California Valley Quail The state motto is: Eureka (I have found it) The state nickname is the Golden State The state flag is the Historic Bear Flag

FAMOUS PEOPLE Three famous people from this state are Marcus Allen, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Joe DiMaggio. Marcus Allen is a football player, Leonardo Dicaprio is an actor and Joe DiMaggio is a baseball player.

NATURAL RESOURCES Natural resources from my state are water, seafood, timber, petroleum and minerals.

INDUSTRIES Industries in my state are electronic components and equipment, aerospace, film production, food processing, petroleum, computers and computer software, tourism.

ATTRACTIONS Two attractions are Disneyland and Seaworld.

FACTS Five interesting facts about my state: California's Mount Whitney is the highest peak in the lower 48 states. In 1925 a giant sequoia located in California's Kings Canyon National Park was named the nation's national Christmas tree. More turkeys are raised in California than in any other state in the United States. Alpine County is the eighth smallest of California's 58 counties. It has no high school, ATMs, dentists, banks, or traffic lights. The largest three-day rodeo in the United States is held on the Tehama County Fairgrounds in Red Bluff.
