 Why do we consider some symptoms of schizophrenia “positive”?  What are some positive symptoms?  Take out your reference sheet. 

 Why might those with a Psychological Disorder seek treatment?  Think about the 3 criteria.  Brainstorm:  Think of 1 way a doctor treat diseases  How do they treat them?

 Psychotherapy: therapy aimed at making patients aware of their unconscious motives so that they can gain control over their behavior.  What might be some ways of making someone aware that their behaviors are not normal?
