UP Law Internet & Society Program Libel 1. It is public and malicious 2. It is an imputation of: 1. a crime, or 2. A real or imaginary vice or defect 3. any act, omission, condition, status, or circumstance 3. The imputation tends to cause the dishonor, discredit, or contempt of a natural or juridical person, or to blacken the memory of one who is dead.
