Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate chip cookies They are yummy!

They were invented by Ruth Wakefield.

She had a small hotel and she loved to cook

One day, she wanted to make chocolate cookies But she didn’t have the right chocolate

So she used a different chocolate to prepare the cookies

But that was a mistake, because Ruth didn’t get chocolate cookies. She got cookies with chocolate bits…

But everybody loved them!

Everybody wanted to make them. The recipe was in the newspaper!

Now, all Americans love Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Warm Chocolate Chip Cookies and a glass of cold milk. Yummmmmmmm!

So, let’s say “Thank you, Ruth Wakefield”

Now, do you want a cookie?

Pssst! Tell your parent we are going to teach how to make them in our Cooking class. Then you can make some at home, too! (produced by Monica Cardoso and Alice Bello)
