Facts and Figures Bucharest is Romania’s capital city There are 28,840,00 people in Romania It is in south-east Europe The coastline of the Black Sea is 1,935 km Over 60% of people in Romania are Romanians, Hungarians, and Germans.

History The earliest life in Romania was in the Stone Age(around 8,000 BC) In the 15th century Vlad The Impaler took over when the Turks invaded. Michael the Brave was Wallachia’s ruler at the time and was killed in In 1819 they joined the Allies against Germany Jews and Gypsies were deported and murdered during World War Two.
