 to get ready we were first split into groups. All the groups were given a recipe to follow and told to use fractions to make our recipe enough for 42. (there were 42 kids)  The recipes were for: pikelets, jelly, cupcakes and pizza. YUM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I only know what happened with pikelets #1 so that’s what I am telling you about.

 Now we had finished getting ready we were called up in groups to grab our ingredients. Then we followed the recipe and mixed all ingredients.  Later on we cooked our pikelets on the hot-plate (well, group leader did) then group leader severed them up to every one with jam.  Last of all we ate them.

 Now we had got our food it was time to eat it. While eating we had to solve a question. This was- “pretend 100 kids were over. Adjust your recipe to let them all have 1” – our answer was times the recipe by 5. (the recipe made 20.)  Then all the groups had to clean up their own mess. After we left the room neat and we were done.

To make the food we had to follow some simple hygiene rules of:  If your group was going to handle food they had to put on disposable gloves.  Some people put on an apron.  If you were not wearing disposable gloves then you still had to wash your hands
