Antelope Hills First Grade Back to School Night August, 2010

The first day of school is exhausting!

Mrs. Alvarado Morning Arrival - Main Gate opens at 8:10 am. Use MAIN GATE by office. Gate by first grade classes is for bus students and SDC classes only. Student place backpacks on wall outside classrooms and go directly to breakfast, playground or SIT at line-up spot in quad. Teachers will pick up students at 8:30 and walk children to classroom. Children are NOT to wait by classrooms in the morning, they must be in their line-up spot at 8:30 am or they will be marked Tardy.

Mrs. Nading End of Day Pick up Teachers will walk classes to Quad area for pick up. Parents and siblings should meet first graders in Quad. Please do not wait for students by classrooms. All parents and students must exit campus by MAIN GATE by office. Children not picked up by 2:50 will be sent to wait by Flag Pole in front of office.

Mrs. Stone a. Snack in a Sack b. Buying a lunch? – c. Teachers will NOT handle student lunch money. If you send $ to school with child, the child MUST drop it off in MPR before 8:25 bell. Put in envelope with child’s name and lunch number on the outside. Sally

Mrs. Dunaway Reading, Reading, Reading - A Reading Log will be the ONLY paper homework that needs turned in to teachers. Math – Two websites. Go to First Grade’s “Links to Learning” on Antelope Hills website. 100 Sight Words – first testing in October. Can access words from First Grade’s “Links to Learning” on website.

Mrs. Trask Spelling Words – Tests on Fridays. Math Fishy Facts – Flashcards will come home. 2 quizzes each week. Test on Friday.

Ms. Wilcox Donations – can no longer accept cash, gift certificates only. Parent Volunteers – Teachers will let you know individually. Getting a new fridge? Join PTA! General Questions? Specific Questions? Please your teacher.
