 Jesus Called Justus - (v. 11)  Little is known of this man, except that he was also a Jew (" of the circumcision ") - [Jesus was his Jewish name – Justus was his Hellenistic name.]  He was also a "fellow worker for the kingdom“  Along with Tychicus, Onesimus, Aristarchus & Mark – He was a comfort to Paul.  Epaphras, - A faithful minister who had taught them – ( Co 1:7-8 )  He cared deeply for them and those in Laodicea and Hierapolis  A "fellow prisoner" ( Phile 23 )  He prayed "constantly" (" always ") - "fervently" (" laboring fervently ") - "personally" (" for you ") - "with a goal in mind" (" that you may stand perfect and complete...“) Don McClain 17 W. 65th St church of Christ / June 8, 2008

Don McClain 21 W. 65th St church of Christ / June 8, 2008  Laodicea – (15)  This church received a stern warning from our Lord some 30 years later in the book of Revelation. – ( Rev 3:15-21 )  Nymphas – (15) (His AV/ Her NIV / “the church in their house” ASV)  Churches meeting in homes was a common practice in the New Testament - ( Rom. 16:5; 1 Cor. 16:19; Phile. 2 ).
