Conference Theme Growth & development for the Tasmanian dairy industry

Education Up-dating knowledge and continuing education is vital to improving what you do and how you do it. Consumers and the public have an expectation that animal welfare standards are high and are acted on. Need the help of expert service providers

Take Home Message You have an obligation to your cows, your staff, the dairy industry, consumers and yourself to UP-DATE and EDUCATE.

Why? Lameness is: Common & obvious Frustrating Costly A major AW issue Preventable

Take Home Message Lameness is common & costly BUT simple and inexpensive things WILL make a big difference.

Dairy Australia Lameness is a key AW issue National Lameness Workshop (May 2008) Co-ordinate the development of a kit of resources for service providers – ID, treatment & prevention of lameness.
