DO YOU WANT TO BE A GOOD TEACHER OR A GREAT TEACHER?

TIP 1- MINDFUL HYGIENE Be proactive, bolster your immune system Vitamin C, ginger, wellness, get plenty of sleep….

TIP 2 Be sure to rest and spend time rejuvenating your spirit (exercise, time alone, reading, etc.), reflect on what “pacing” means in your life

TIP 3 If you drink, drink less

TIP 4 Connect school to activities in the community- teaching is not just what we do in the classroom

TIP 5 Reflect on your IDEALISM and teach ORGANICALLY

TIP 6 Make friends with the school librarian, the school secretary, tech person, and the school custodians (maintenance workers)

TIP 7 Don’t be afraid to let tasks carry over to the next day and don’t expect to get through everything you planned to cover.

TIP 8 Reality Check: If you were expecting this, good luck!

TIP 9 Be open hearted and open minded each and every day to learn “with” and from your students. They will teach you.

TIP 10 Integrate and intersect math as much as possible- it is a recent development in the content standards for teacher assessment (e.g., graphs, grades, charts, etc.).

TIP 11 Wear comfortable shoes

TIP 12 Use the bathroom, when you need to!

TIP 13 Love and care become transferred knowledge

TIP 14 Above all, be authentic
