 March 2014 Dr Tom Robson led a whole staff Science TD day where we raised awareness amongst staff of the recent changes to the curriculum for Science  From Sept 2014 Teachers are now using a 2 year rolling programme in Science   The newly acquired tredu teaching resources are currently being used by all teachers

 The Science policy has been recently updated and is awaiting agreement with staff and final ratification from Governors.

We are currently monitoring the teaching of Science at Sherston School by:-  Regularly checking teacher’s plans  Book Scrutiny  Pupils Voice  Auditing resources  Science TD day for all staff  Observing lessons  Updating the Science policy  Collecting evidence through displays and photographs and learning walks  Supporting staff where appropriate

 Ratify the new Science Policy  Arrange more non contact time so Subject Leaders can continue to monitor the quality of Science teaching throughout the school  Check all staff are confident with teaching the new curriculum and using the new tredu resources  Feedback from staff on changes  Annual review of curriculum resources  Update school aspects and website  Possibly arrange another Science Week!
