Three Things We learned about Joseph 1.We are what we are because of the providence of God Genesis 41 V 1-7 Pharaoh had dreams 7 fat cows and 7 skinny cows 7 heads of grains healthy and good and 7 heads of grains thin and scorched V 9-13 the turning point of Joseph’s life

V 14 Joseph was moved from prison to palace This is all God’s providence. V16 I cannot do it, Joseph replied to Pharaoh, but God will give the Pharaoh what he desires.

Three Things We Learned About Joseph 2. We are what we are because of the promotion of God V Through God, Joseph gave the interpretation of the dream V33-36 Joseph gave the life application of the dream

Three Things We learned about Joseph V Joseph was promoted from prisoner to Prime minister Psalm 75: 6-7 No one from the east or the west or from the desert can exalt themselves. 7 It is God who judges: He brings one down, He exalts another.

Three Things We learned about Joseph Same God who bring him to the pit, put him to prison is the same God who promoted him to the palace. We are what we are because of the providence of God. We are what we are because of the promotion of God.

Three Things We learned about Joseph 3. We have what we have because of the provision of God. V Joseph was provided with position (PM – in charged of the whole of Egypt), power (signet ring, chariots ) and prosperity (dressed in robes and gold and beautiful wife)

Three Things We learned about Joseph V Joseph had two sons Manasseh – forgot my trouble Ephraim - fruitful “ God has made me...” My dreams has come true not because I am self made man but because I am God made man.
