Twelfth Night Written in 1601 and published in 1623 Shakespearian comedy based on mistaken identity The lead character, Viola, poses as a man and enters the service of Duke Orsino, who is in love with Lady Olivia. Midsummer Night’s Dream This was a romantic comedy believed to be written during the 1590’s. This play is centered around the adventures of four different lovers and their interactions with various different important figures A major part of the play were the fairies that live in a moonlit forest. Henry V Believed to be written in This play is based on the live of King Henry V of England. This is the final play in a tetralogy written by Shakespeare, therefore the audience was already familiar with the main protagonist and his attempted conquest of France. Click To Return To Main Menu

Romeo and Juliet This one of Shakespeare’s most well known and performed plays. It portrays the story of two young lovers who are forced to deal with the consequences of having two rival households. This eventually leads to their untimely deaths. Click To Return To Main Menu

Hamlet Written in 1599 and 1601, this is believed to be the most powerful and influential of all of Shakespeare’s plays It depicts how Prince Hamlet of Denmark gets revenge on his Uncle Claudius who overthrew the king and marries his wife and the throne.
