Online Library of Knowledge Juro4C – Introduction

How we used to do it Motivation Benefits Main features Source code Documentation Future Work Outline

Manual download of the statistics files in several formats (Excel, html, csv, txt) Manual grouping and calculation of statistics for all 72 members Results were presented to the community 2 times per year in XLS files. How we used to do it

Statistics management is: –Complex –Resource consuming –Time consuming –Subject to errors due to manual handling. B-on consortium has 72 members more than 30 databases so we considered to use an application to help us solving these issues Motivation

The solution JURO4C

Faster process (From 2-3 months to 1 month) Simpler (more standardised) Less operator dependency More reliable Public interface (self-service for community) Enhanced reporting (easy to make reports) Offer a better service to the community Reduce consortium operations time Beneficts

Main Features Data Gathering – Collects vendors data Consolidation – Processes vendors data Preservation – Keeps initial files Administration – Institution, institution types and users management Reporting Interoperability – Interoperates with SUSHI compliant vendors.

Full sources and binaries can be requested to the address Credentials can be requested to the address Source code

Documentation Analysis documents (Functional, technical, architecture) in Portuguese and English Administration manual in Portuguese and English User’s manual in Portuguese and English Installation manual in Portuguese Other presentations in Portuguese An e-learning session in Portuguese

Future work –Press publishers to be SUSHI compliant when they are Counter compliant –Data grouping of results (timeframe) –Reports for a group of selected journals –Localization of interfaces (multi-language) –Consortium ranking of institutions (dw per institution) Follow the developments on : –SUSHI –ERMS

Thank you!
