Editorial Team for APAC 2007 John Poole, CERN, Geneva Christine Petit-Jean-Genaz, CERN, Geneva Ivan Andrian, Electra, Italy Akihiro Shirakawa, KEK, Japan Hirokazu Tanaka, KEK, Japan Sei-Jin Kwon, Pohang, Chaina Anil Rawat, RRCAT, India Alpana Rajan, RRCAT, India Umesh Sharma, RRCAT, India Diptikant Pathy, RRCAT, India S. Raghvendra, RRCAT, India Prashant Limaye, RRCAT, India Six members from the above list did the editorial work for the first time. The training provided by John and Christine was very useful to train the new editors.

Problem faced by Editorial Team Editors of APAC 2007 came across following problems while processing papers-  A4 size paper printed on US size paper (1.79%): page setup was not as per JACoW format.  Font Problems (5.56%): Font size used in paper and authors list were not as per JACoW format.  Formatting problems (40.78%): Few papers were in single column format. Editors corrected them to two column format with proper column width. Spacing in between paragraphs was not uniform. Paragraph indentation was not proper in many papers. Figure caption problem was very common. E.g. in place of ‘Figure’ many authors had written ‘Fig.’. Many times Editors made indentation proper. Sometimes it was not possible to change figure caption, so they were left as written by authors. References section was not properly indented.

Problem faced by Editorial Team Contd…  No postscripts files – 25.99%: Author did not upload PS files of contributed paper. Editors need to make PS from source file and then pdf file. It made paper processing, time consuming for editors. This also increased number of papers with yellow dots.  Slow graphics problem %: Display of image was slow while processing papers.  Other miscellaneous problems – 20.44%: Number of pages for contributions was not as per limit. Invited papers were allowed to have maximum 5 pages and other papers were allowed maximum 3 pages.  Unusable files- 3.57%: Paper files uploaded by author were found corrupted – authors were asked to re-upload the files. Editors of APAC 2007 came across following problems while processing papers-
