1 The Romans By phoebe cantellow

2 Romans clothes Men’s clothes Men wore a tunic up to knee height either short sleeve or long sleeved. Roman men wore a big cloak over their tunic which covered all the body. Woman's clothes Woman wore a longer tunic than the men, which was ankle length. Then over that they wore a stola which was a full length, dress like peace of clothing. Rich Woman wore, the same but with jewellery & make up.

3 Romans Homes/ huts Most of the houses were called villas or, they were usually made of timber and thatched roofs. Celtic people were the most powerful people 75bc to 12bc in northern Europhobe who would have these sort of rich houses and they would also live in the country side. FACT. Only 1 % of people in Roman Britain lived in villas.

4 Romans roads The Romans built the first roads in Britain. They built more than 9,000 k of all roads. Some off the roads were so well build some off them today still are around, 2000 years after they were built. Why were roads built. Because the roman Army needed to move and carry their baggage.

5 More info on Roads Why did Romans build straight roads They built straight roads so they could get round as quick as possible, as if they were all corners everywhere they would have to keep braking. How did people travel around in those times People would either ride on a horses back or drive carts pulled by oxen, or walk.

6 Roman Weapons every solider would be armed with two javelins a sword and a dagger. The sword was very important it was light and short so it was easy to use and easy to carry.

7 FOOD Food was a good way to show your wealth in those times, and types of foods depended on how much money you had in those times. Fruit was very popular. Very wealthy people had slaves to “look the business”, however their was not many rich people atoll most people were poor. FACT. They tried to find the most peculiar food to feed their guests. This is a rich person’s meal. They wood stuff chicken inside duck then duck inside a goose then a goose inside a pig, pig inside a cow then cooking it all together.
