 A marble is dropped in the funnel and proceeds to fall down the ramps. The lowest “v” shaped ramp leads the marble to a rat trap. The gravitational potential energy converts to kinetic energy.

Collision, Conservation of Momentum, and Conservation of Energy The marble slides down the ramp to trigger the rat trap. (conservation of momentum) The metal apparatus springs back to its original position pulling a string. (conservation of energy)

 The string attached to the block is pulled by the rat trap. When the block is released, the spring juts out the attached screw. (Potential Elastic)

 The screw that is shot by the spring hits the pvc pipe. This reaction knocks the pipe out from under the block.  (center of mass)

 As the block falls, the string attached to it triggers the next group’s device or pulls our flag like a shower curtain. In this process the wheel shown in the picture is spun. ( conservation of rotational energy)
