Aimed at TY, LCA, LCVP & LC Students who have undertaken a Work Experience Complete a Career Investigation Demonstrate an understanding of a career observed Discuss the Career Skills developed Explain various educational pathways into the career Provide a Careers Skills Statement Promoting the awareness and development of Career Skills through a work placement
Career Skills Statement (max 600 words) a written summary of five Career Skills developed Useful when it comes to activities such as job interviews and creating your CV Recommend the STAR approach: What was the SITUATION? Situation – details: what, where, when, etc. What was your TASK? Task – the job you got done: goal/objective What ACTION did you take? Action – SKILLS you used What was the RESULT? Result – how it worked out Minimum of three skills from Work Placement
