Goudini IWRM Declaration, 2007 We urge Government (National, Provincial and Local departments), Catchment Management Agencies and Water User Associations to engage more directly with communities and their needs with financial and technical support, to help eradicate poverty through sustainable projects. We urge private sector to support practical grass-roots projects that are characterised by community participation in project management and implementation. We commit ourselves to be active in water management on a local level with involvement in catchment forums and Water User Associations. We commit ourselves to the implementation of sustainable initiatives using water to eradicate poverty and improve livelihoods.
