Question 2 Why do people communicate online?
Answer To talk to friends, to meet others, find others with similar interests and hobbies, to have fun
Question What are some of the dangers of communicating online?
Answer Predators, inappropriate material, identity theft, online harassment or bullying etc.
Question What is cyber bullying?
Answer Cyber bullying is when communication online turns hostile, threatening, or harassing whether in , chat, instant messages, through bulletin boards, or even webpages.
Question 5 What is netiquette?
Answer Netiquette is a set of rules for online communication.
Question 6 What are some netiquette rules?
Answer Avoid typing in all capitals, which is considered shouting Never send a Flame – make sure you aren’t angry when you send , that you proofread, etc. Use emoticons to convey emotions. Be considerate of others while communicating online.
Question 7 Why should netiquette be used in online communication?
Answer So that people don’t get upset, feel bullied or harassed, or have their feelings hurt by mistake.
Question 8 What should you do if you are being bullied or harassed online?
Answer Tell Someone! Tell a trusted adult such as a parent or teacher. Keep telling adults until you get help.
