Hey Everybody! My name is Tek. I ’ m going to be your guide today!

The Plan To answer some of the questions you might have about using computers here at Emerson High School

All Right – Let’s Get Started First Question- What do you need to logon to the computer network at EHS?

Answer Predators, inappropriate material, identity theft, online harassment or bullying etc.

Question What is cyber bullying?

Answer Cyber bullying is when communication online turns hostile, threatening, or harassing whether in , chat, instant messages, through bulletin boards, or even webpages.

Question 5 What is netiquette?

Answer Netiquette is a set of rules for online communication.

Question 6 What are some netiquette rules?

Answer  Avoid typing in all capitals, which is considered shouting  Never send a Flame – make sure you aren’t angry when you send , that you proofread, etc.  Use emoticons to convey emotions. Be considerate of others while communicating online.

Question 7 Why should netiquette be used in online communication?

Answer So that people don’t get upset, feel bullied or harassed, or have their feelings hurt by mistake.

Question 8 What should you do if you are being bullied or harassed online?

Answer Tell Someone! Tell a trusted adult such as a parent or teacher. Keep telling adults until you get help.
