Global Ecological Debt, also known as overshoot October 6, 2007: Ecological Debt Day 2007 We have been in Global Overshoot since 1987 We go into Overshoot for a particular year on Ecological Debt Day, and for the rest of that year our consumption adds to our global Ecological Debt.
