AGENDA Outline What is a Wiki? Types of users Public vs Private information Examples: SADCOPAC Wikispace ARAPAC Wiki Leadership Groups Rai Ngaan - Social Reporters Pan Haa - Resolution Writers Questions

AGENDA What is a Wiki  The Wiki is a simple and flexible knowledge sharing and gathering tool currently being utilized by several PAC Regional Networks.  The Global Wiki Village Recently there has been a move to bring the various wikis together in order to foster information sharing across regions. While the official launch will take place in December 2014, it is the hope that the Wiki village becomes a crosscutting data gathering point and serves as a tool for you to connect and interact with your peers. 

Types of Users Wiki RoleDescription and Permissions Wiki User Someone who has access to all the public pages and documents but who has not registered and become a member of a wiki Wiki Member Someone who has registered on the wiki and has permission to edit pages and upload documents Wiki Organizer Someone who has additional permissions and viewing rights to a specific wiki through the Administrative Panel. E.g. Can invite new members to the wiki.

Public vs Private information AGENDA During the Event: Public Anyone accessing the arapac.wikispaces.com site can view and edit the page content. Post Event: Locked The page will be locked in order to ensure that all the content gathered during the event is protected. A link will be sent to all participants to register as wiki members. Private Setting: The decision regarding what content is to be made public or private must be made by the Network.

ARAPAC WIKI Arapac.wikispaces.com Capture and distill the knowledge accumulated during the 2014 Annual Accountability Conference and Network Meeting. ARAPAC wikispace will also serve as the new repository of the LOCOP knowledge base. The wiki acts as the online gathering place for the community.

Leadership Groups Pan Haa # 1 - Resolution WritersResolution Writers The aim of this group is to act as the interface between what happens at this meeting and other stakeholders. Resolution Writers strive to resolve and brainstorm action items and key objectives during the conference. Rai Ngaan # 2 - Social ReportersSocial Reporters The aim of this group is to create a shared narrative for the conference. More specifically looking at the highlights, the humorous moments, the unanswered questions, the voices that were not heard. It is a living document that we are creating and weaving together as we go along. It is also a combined effort to write up your report. Capturing shared memory of deliberations during the event.
