Welcome to Episode #3!

What does communication look like? Linear Model Interactive Model Transactional Model

Linear Model Communication is “one way” Messages flow only from sender to receiver.

Interactive Model Communication is “two way” Receiver gives “feedback” “Behavioral” rather than just “encoding”

Transactional Model Communication is “two way” and simultaneous. Sender and receiver give lots of “feedback” Makes communication relational.

Communication Misconceptions: Always a good thing? NO! Will solve ALL problems? NO! More is always better? NO! Meanings are in words? NO! Always simple? NO!
