The Biome Grasslands

Grasslands are an essential part of life. They occur in North (the prairies) and South America, Australia, the veld, lowlands, Asia and the steppes (Russia). Grasslands are very wide to fit a lot of animals.

Temperate Grasslands have very little rainfall. There they have up to 20 C to 30 C Savana Grasslands are humid but they have lots of rain fall they have up to 5 mills of rain and 30 C to 40 C

The land is flat with trees and saplings(small trees). The grass is Nice and tall good for stroking Cheaters in India and lot of other animals.

The Hyena never hunts. It is a scavenger. It will eat anything to a rotten Deer carcass or the remains of a lion pack in India. A Hyena is kind of related to a dingo and a lion. If a Hyena has not found any food the Hyena will be forced to eat their own young.

There is very hot weather. The soil is a lot less fertilised which makes life hard for Animals. Sometimes a drought kills off thousands of animals.

Savana Grasslands have lots of rain fall, which means lot of earth worms come to the surface, A good opportunity for hungry birds.
