Community Service By: Shannon Comerford

Girl Scouts of America  Some girls from my sorority and I went to a local church to assist the young girl scouts of our community with their doll races.  We checked in each girl to the race, helped them set up for each race, and we judged who won.

How did I help at the animal shelter?  I cleaned the animal cages by hosing them down, scrubbing the walls and floor, and drying them with a squeegee.  I cleaned the water bowls and filled them with fresh water.  I also walked a few of the dogs outside in the big yard.

 After helping with girl scouts, and cleaning the local animal shelter I felt like I personally benefited my community. I enjoyed spending time with the young girls and walking the little puppies around outside. It was nice to give back to my community.
