Mar 2001 The STF concept  The normal working method to produce ETSI standards is by voluntary contribution of the Members in the Committees, however, ETSI can contract experts to set-up STFs  STFs are funded from the ETSI budget, EC/EFTA Vouchers, voluntary contributions from Members  STF experts normally work together in sessions in the ETSI premises of Sophia Antipolis  The reference TB has the technical responsibility for the STF and approves their deliverables  The ETSI Secretariat provides management support, technical supervision and office facilities An STF is a group of experts working together to draft urgent deliverables or to perform special tasks on behalf of an ETSI Technical Body
