Locker & Supply Preparation Mayo Middle School

You may go to your lockers, without a pass, 4 times a day: Before School Before Lunch After Lunch After School You may write a pass to go to your locker at other times during the day.

Why is it important to keep your locker organized? To find what you need easily To serve as a home base between school and home To help remember to take the right work and books home To have a system that supports your day Notebooks and books in order Class Schedule posted inside

Lockers Do not share your locker combination with anyone Keep your locker locked correctly at all times Take items home that you do not need – you don’t want your locker to look like an episode of Hoarders! do not share your locker with other students Check to make sure all books are in your locker before closing it

Ideas to keep your locker organized SHELVES They separate your books, folders, and Other items like your lunch box and Gym clothes.

Dry erase board Write reminders and make a list of what You need to take home each day.

Organized locker examples

Passes 12 Passes per quarter Please do not interrupt a lesson to use a pass unless it is an emergency. Library passes are underneath hall passes. You should only go to the library one time per week. Use passes only when needed – please don’t waste them Make sure you go only where your pass states you are going Make sure you use the most direct route to get to your destination

Nurse / office You must go to class and get permission to go to the nurse first. You may not go to the nurse between classes. Also, please report to class first if you need to go to the office for any reason.

Tardies A tardy is earned any time a student is late to any class, not just advisory. After 3 tardies, a student earns a 30 minute detention. After 4 tardies, a student earns a 60 minute detention 5 or more tardies will result in other disciplinary action, which may include aer.

Hallways Walk quietly Please do not hit lockers, locks, etc. Go directly to your destination – do not wander Please do not yell in the hallways Keep your hands to yourself Stay to the right at all times Keep books out of the hall when at your locker

Sign up! Chorus – Meets after school Art – must have a study hall Foreign language – can be complete during study hall or before/after school Digital journalism – can be completed during study hall or before/after school. Students are responsible for maintaining the Mayo student website Service Learning – 25 Service hour per quarter – this can be helping at school or anywhere in the community.
