John 1:32-33 (ESV) 32 And John bore witness: “I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 33 I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, ‘He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.’ Acts 1:8 “(ASV) But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Luke 24:9 - wait in Jerusalem.

Baptism of Holy Spirit Promised and given go the Apostles in 1 st century Received and guided them into all truth We can read and study this truth in the Bible A sign of an apostle was the ability to pass along miraculous gifts to others.
