How to create a powerpoint slide

To open a new Powerpoint™ document, click on “Start” and then on “Microsoft Office Powerpoint” Step #2 Step #1

You do not want to create a Title Slide, so choose a different layout Click here Choose one

Type your subject’s name into the “title” field.

Type at least 4 significant facts about your subject into the “content” field (do not copy and paste; this must be in your own words!) Include info about when & where they lived and what important things they did.

Include at least two images related to your subject (more is better!). These can be images of your subject, or by your subject. You may use a search engine like Bing or Google to find images.

Copy and paste the citation from Encyclopedia Britannica into the “Notes” field at the bottom of your screen

To save your slide: click on the file tab in the upper left corner, and then scroll down and click on “Save As”.

To save your work: #1. Click on your H Drive (for students it will show your ID number) #2. Change the “File name” to: Topic.Your Name.ppt Ex. William Shakespeare.Danielle Burleson.ppt #3. Click on the “Save” button #3 #1 #2

To turn in your slide (after you have finished and revised it!): Click on “Save As” #1. Click on “Metro Tech Backpack” #2. Click on “In Folder”, then “Burleson”, then your period. #3. Hit “Save” #3 #1 #2
