 A food chain is a line of animals that depend on the different species to eat. If a species dies, it effects another animal that eats the species that had ran out. An ocean food chain is in this pattern: top predators, secondary consumers, primary consumers, and primary producers.

 A natural habitat is a place where animals and plants live. It is important to save them because all of the animals live in a natural habitat and if we destroy them, the animals would die. If the animals die, it would affect the food chain.

 When oil damages even the smallest part of an oil spill, it can effect the marine animal at the top of the food chain. Oil can have a big effect on a food chain because if one little creature dies it effects the whole food chain as well.
