Safety Distribute the Howard County Safety Contract Students need to sign the contract Take the paper home and have a parent/guardian sign You have 2 class periods to return the signed Safety Contract for full credit.
Safety quiz We will have a safety quiz next week. The quiz will be based on the Howard County Safety contract.
Safety Review the Howard County safety rules. Discuss safety equipment in the room. Discuss fire drill evacuation route. Duck, cover and hold. Lock-down procedure.
Fire Drill We need to figure out who is the tallest student in the room. When there is an evacuation drill, we need to go outside as quickly as possible, locate the designated person, and stay together.
Duck, Cover and Hold
Lock Down Make sure the door is shut and locked. Turn off the lights. Go to the back of the lab area and sit down. We need to be quiet while the lock down is in progress. No one may enter, or leave, the room.
Modified Lock Down Make sure the door is shut and locked. We may need to pull down the shades. We continue with class. You will move from class to class.
