Goal Setting and Achieving

FIND OUT WHAT YOU WANT What really drives you? – Start small- ex. What would you do with an extra $1,000/mo? – Where do you want to be 5-10 yrs down the road? House/ cars/ vacations/ hobbies/ schools/ charitys/ family etc. How will it feel when you get there?

Experience Things Until you go and see/ do/ feel you wont realize what you’re missing. – Go drive some nice cars/ see homes/ spend time with wealthy people and see how they live.

Set The Goals Write down everything you want, look at pictures, imagine and feel what its going to be like to have that new life. Have a family mtg for family goals, meet with spouse for goals together, team, etc. You should place your goals in front of you as much as possible- bathroom mirror, shower, car, etc.

Set Deadlines If you don’t give yourself a timeframe to achieve your goals, you wont have enough urgency to hit them. Urgency is what keeps you alive!!

PUT TOGETHER A PLAN Break you goals down – What do you need to do on a daily basis to hit your goals? Ex. 2 rec/ mo for 2 yrs= $100k+/yr so to get 2 rec/ mo I need to make 5 contacts/ day.

NOW THAT GOALS ARE SET, HOW DO YOU ACHIEVE THEM? Begin with the end in mind each and every day. Find enjoyment in the process, 90% of winning is having a winning attitude. Focus each day on what you want and where you’re going, not on what may be happening at that moment! Compete and be accountable so others can help you. (go solo, texting, phone calls, etc).

NOW THAT GOALS ARE SET, HOW DO YOU ACHIEVE THEM? You must have a vision of what it’s going to look like when you achieve your goal as you start. You must promote your vision to those around you and yourself constantly! (even if you don’t totally believe it at first) Confess to everyone what’s going to happen, then be sure you’re progressing towards the goal consistently so they can see it happening! (credibility/ believeability)!!

Focus each day on what you want and where you’re going, not on what may be happening at that moment! When we are struggling, whether we’d like to admit it or not, its because of what we’ve allowed into our lives. Take the responsibility to accept this so that you can take charge and do something about it. Venting to someone else does NOT help you, it only makes your challenges grow!!!!!

AVOID DISTRACTIONS Challenges/ other opportunities/ friends/ family/ sickness/ headaches/ don’t feel like it. Are things in the way of Primerica, or is Primerica in the way of other things?

PROGRAM YOURSELF TO JUST DO IT! Its irrelevant how you feel when it comes to getting the job done! You go to your job even if you don’t feel like it, you need to prospect/ set apts/ do drop bys/ apts/ invite/ show up, even if you don’t feel like it! (just like a robot, or computer would do it). Would you rather not feel like it an do it anyways for yrs at a job, or for 3-5 yrs with Primerica? THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!

SO LET’S DO IT!! $100,000 Base, 10 new TC’s and 4 strong solid RVP’s by April 2010! How many of those new TC’s will be on your team? – How much of that business will be done on your team?
