MAKING WAVES ACADEMY SCHOOLWIDE GOALS REVISED SEPTEMBER 7, 2013

Goal 1:Achieve Division-specific targets in Restructuring Plan for Program Improvement. Objectives Engage all constituent groups in operationalizing the plan in their respective areas. Assess progress in focus areas of plan 4x/ year using focus-area metrics. Provide quarterly data and progress updates to MWA staff.

Goal 2: Obtain WASC Accreditation Renewal Objectives Reflect and redefine our Schoolwide Core Values and their role in instruction and school culture by March 1, (Revised11/2/13) Home & Focus Groups will meet and complete assigned tasks at their regularly scheduled times throughout the year and complete their work by February 28, (Revised 9/1/13) Redefine our Schoolwide Action Plan/ Strategic Plan and submit as part of our Self-Study Report to the Accreditation Commission by March 14, (Revised 9/1/13)

Goal 3: Full implementation of SpringBoard and adoption of Common Core plan. Objectives Full adoption of new curriculum (SpringBoard & SB best practices for ELL’s) with fidelity. Develop and refine CCSS plan throughout the year. Build capacity of staff to implement curriculum and develop CCSS plan.
