6. How did people handle the Plague? They were religious fanatics who beat each other up as way to limit evil spirits. Flagellants went after Jewish communities. They clearly blames Jews for the illness. Medical—blood-letting was used, and some were kept isolated. Although priests came to the aid of those who were dying, many believed that the church was going after people who committed sins.

7. How did the Great Schism create a crisis with the church and its Christian followers?

The church was in crisis. One pope resided in France and the other pope resided in Rome. This left many believers confused about Christianity. The power of the church declined.

8. Who were Wycliffe and Hus? According to the Church what are they guilty of?

Guilty-heresy Wycliffe was upset with the abuse of power by the church. He believed that believers should interpret the bible themselves and not rely on priests. Hus was burned at the stake because of his church views. He demanded reform.
