6th Grade Erosion Power Point Project Students created erosion power points to showcase their knowledge of 6th grade science standards.

Diana Ramos Science Project 6th grade Period 3 1-6-10

Erosion Erosion is the process of weathering of grinding something down .The condition in which the earths surface is worth away by the action of water and wind.

VALLEY Death valley A valley can be very depp.A valley is a hollow or surface depression.A valley is formed by flowing water ,or a river valley is a V shape. But the exact shape will depend on the characteristics of the flowing stream.

Landforms A landform Landforms are natural features of the landscape.Land- forms are formed by glaciers. They move and can also scrape the land. They can also be formed by plates Tectonics.

Canyon The Grad canyon A canyon is a deep valley between cliffs. There often carved by a river.Canyons are formed by a process of a long time erosion from a plateau level.canyons are more common in wetter areas because weather has a better effect.

Water Erosion Water Erosion Water erosion is what destroys houses and landscape due to rain.It can change the surface of the land because the surface of the land is always moving . Did you know that 27 percent of water erosion is from the ocean.

Erosion weathering “Erosion is distinguished from weathering.”(Wikipedia).Erosion causes the gradual breaking down or wearing away something ,especially rocks or soil.
