Media Film and TV Level 3 Amrit Pall

Where am I? Previously I had studied at high school and finished my GCSEs. Based on my results I had the choice to go to various colleges such as Harrow, Uxbridge, Stanmore (decision), Ealing and West Herts. Media had been a passion when studying in high school and therefore I have chosen to take level Media Film and TV as my course. I have developed skills in GCSE media such as how to use camera's when filming and how they function when considering type of shots. Therefore I think I am at a good level when considering this course.

My Targets My targets that I aim for whilst my time at Stanmore college is to achieve the best grades possible, for example distinctions and Merrits. I also aim to gain excellent knowledge within the media industry when considering my Film and TV course. With my qualification’s I have gained at the end of this course, I hope to go to university and continue studying media hoping to get involved with cameras and film when considering professional occupation. Choosing Film and TV was a definite option when enrolling as I hope to gain knowledge about how cameras function and how HD videos are created etc.

My Skills I obtain many skills; technically, visually and verbally. Examples of these is having required knowledge of how to use technology such as computers (specific software). Also, when considering my course, I have obtained many camera skills and functional skills when working with filming as I had previously taken GCSE Media in High School. I have strong team work skills and I am confident to engage with the group and state my personal ideas. I enjoy editing and therefore have chosen this course, and my skills when considering computers are at a good level in my opinion.

Film and TV Media course The Film and TV course within the media industry involves working with cameras, editing videos and creating moving image etc. an advantage of working with this course is that it leads to many pathways and provides many job roles after university. Examples of these are directing, producing and script writing etc. also, this course involves being behind the scenes of films and TV programmes and using the cameras In different ways. This course can also involve broadcasting live TV or pre-runned shows, for examples live news channels or TV series.
