About WHO ● Provides leadership on global health matters ● Shapes the health research agenda ● Sets standards ● Finds evidence based on policy options ● Provides technical support to countries and monitor’s and health trends.

Location ● World Health Organization (WHO) ● Established on April 7, ● Headquarters are in Geneva, Switzerland. ● Now, every year April 7 is celebrated as World Health Day. ● 2008 was the 60th anniversary of the World Health Organization.

Sources of funding ● The budget for was 218 million. ● The budget was 67% higher than the previous years. ● More money is put towards volunteer work than anything. ● WHO is financed by contributions from the states. ● Largest contribution came from the United States in 2012 ($110 million)
