Essential community for students, especially those away from home nations Integral part of the school pastoral system Pupil lead system promotes wide variety of skills, e.g. teamwork, leadership, confidence, etc DBS culture - community school - cohesion & camaraderie, memories for pupils. Importance of House System

Pupil voice at DBS - Presidential team, Head of House team, Marketing Team. Power to implement their ideas, e.g. to decide upon new house names for 2015 in collaboration with the Arabic department. A wide variety of events - key for inclusion of every pupil. House charities - decided by both Secondary and Primary House Captains. Variety of scales for charities. Epraise Points system - online as well as tokens and stickers. ‘Golden tickets’ for SLT. Whole staff meetings, led by pupils. Key features:
