To thoroughly examine an argument To avoid thoroughly examining an argument The Devil lies in details. Don’t bother me with details. an excuse

“Christendom” As long as your heart is right, it doesn’t matter what you do. “DETAILS DON’T MATTER.”

1. THEOLOGY “ Toward the beginning of his lesson, Mr. [Derek] Prince emphasized that in "all" the accounts of being filled with the Holy Spirit, immediately following being filled with the Holy Spirit, the one filled spoke, "speaking in tongues or prophesying." Prince even called it a "universal principle." But this is not true, for example, none of the texts concerning Paul's conversion (including Ac. 9, where it states Paul was filled with the Holy Spirit) indicate Paul spoke anything - inspired or not - upon being filled with the Holy Spirit. ”

P.K.: “ This is true for the case of Paul. [ But] though the Scripture merely says that Paul was filled with the Spirit, it is known from 1 Corinthians 14 that he could speak in tongues. So in my opinion here Derek [Prince] is neither mistaken, nor misleading. ” 1. THEOLOGY “DETAILS DON’T MATTER.”

If this detail really didn ’ t matter, why offer it as support for the argument? “ Details do not matter ” is self-defeating. Mt. 22:23-33  Jesus ’ point: There will be a resurrection (Ex. 3:6).  My point: DETAILS MATTER! 1. THEOLOGY am = present tensewas = past tense PS. 119:160

2. WORSHIP “ Thank you for sending me the link to the music video. It was well presented and interesting. While viewing this video, I considered Col. 3:17, which contains the statement, "Whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord...." Essentially, this means, "Make sure you have permission from God to do anything." In other words, we always need to ask ourselves, "Do I know the Lord allows me to do this? ” Having said that :-), the New Testament does not give us a command for Christians to worship God with mechanical instruments.

2. WORSHIP “ Nor does it give us an example of the first Christians worshipping God with mechanical instruments. Nor does it necessarily imply that first Christians used mechanical instruments while worshipping God. So, though I assume the artists who made the video were sincere, and I give them credit for creativity, beauty, and truthful assertions, I cannot help it that I do not know whether I have permission from God to endorse "worship" that includes mechanical instruments. And, since whatever is not from faith is sin (Rm. 14:23), I hesitate to say any more about it. ”

Strange fire Nadab and Abihu Lv. 10: WORSHIP “ Every part of the religion of God is Divine ” (A. Clark) Response: “ I think there is only one kind of worship the Lord delights in, and that is true worship from the heart, and the instruments, place, style, way of expression doesn't really matter. ”

2. WORSHIP Jn. 4:20-22 (cf. Dt. 12) In truth Eg.: 1 Co. 11:17-22; 14:28, 40, 34

3. LIVING Q1: “ If a child of God dies while drunk, will he go to heaven? ” A1: "Yes." Q2: "If a child of God lies and dies before he repents of the lie, will he go to heaven anyhow?" A2: "Yes. ” Kelly-Garner Debate. pp. 116, 117, as quoted by Truth Magazine, March 22, 1973, pp. 3-4 The Bible is not a book about how the heavens go, but how to go to heaven. Gal. 5:19; Rv. 21:8

4. PLAN OF SALVATION H.S.: In spite of having been only five years old when he was baptized, and not for the remission of sins, he thinks his baptism into the Reformed Church will save him because of the risk his parents took. Risk doesn ’ t make right. “Details don’t matter.” Naaman, 2 Kg. 5:…10 What if another river? What if more/less times? Ephesus, Ac. 19:1-5 What if he refused? NT. Pattern: Reasonable faith Understand sin Fully immersed For the remission of sins

Mt. 5:18 Mt. 27:9 Jn. 19:28 Smallest letter…stroke The smallest detail must be fulfilled.
