How do you see?

Parts of the eye Sclera- The sclera is the white of the eye. "Don't shoot until you see their sclera‘s. The Cornea- The cornea is the clear bulging surface in front of the eye. It is the main refractive surface of the eye. Anterior & Posterior Chambers-The anterior chamber is between the cornea and the iris. The posterior chamber is between the iris and the lens Iris/Pupil-Iris is heavily pigmented .Sphincter muscle to constrict or dilate the pupil. Pupil is the hole through which light passes Lens-Transparent body enclosed in an elastic capsule. Made up of proteins and water Vitreous Humor- Fills the space between lens and retina

What part helps you see color The Retina is the innermost layer of the eye and the one that transforms the light energy into action potentials to be carried by nerves. There are two physiological subunits in the retina called Rods and Cones. The rods a more simplistic than the cones and they can only show a difference between a presence of lack of light, giving rise to the black and white vision.

what the eye looks like

facts Your eyes are the most complex organs you possess except for your brain. Your eyes are composed of more than 2 million working parts The average person blinks 12 times per minute - about 10,000 blinks in an average day Your eyes can process 36,000 bits of information every hour. Only 1/6th of your eyeball is exposed to the outside world Color blindness is 10 times more common in males than females Your eyelashes have an average life span of 5 months. The eyeball of a human weighs approximately 28 grams.

How many people are born blind in a year 6 out of 20 people a year have children born blind all over the world.
