Definition ERP system is an integrated computer- based application used to manage resources, including assets, financial resources, materials, and human resources.

Importance - Purpose 1- Facilitates the flow of information between all business functions inside the organization and manages the connections to outside stakeholders

Importance - Purpose 2- Closely links, monitors & controls primary enterprise resources like manpower, machine, material, methods, market & money.

Which type of databases is ERP? Among 7 types of database, ERP belongs to “Operational databases” type. Operational databases are databases which store detailed data about the operations of an organization.
