THE BEST IBADATH IN ISLAM Prepared by: Dr. Abdul Hakim “SALAT” THE BEST IBADATH IN ISLAM “নামাজ বেহেস্তের চাবি কাঠি” [হাদিস] بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ Prepared by: Dr. Abdul Hakim

OBJECTIVE The objective of this article is just to satisfy Almighty Allah (SWT), not any worldly reward. Our Beloved Prophet (PBUH) said: “Allah, the angels, the inhabitants of heaven and earth, even the ant in its hole and even the fish in the sea, send blessings upon the one who teaches the people good.” [Hadith: Tirmidhi].

The Whole Earth is the Place of Worship Our beloved Prophet (PBUH) said that Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon me six favors which the former Prophets did not enjoy: I have been endowed with the gift of pithy and perfect speech. I was granted victory owing to my awe. 3. The spoils of war were made lawful unto me. 4. The whole earth has been made the place of worship for me. 5. I have been sent by Allah to carry His Divine message to the whole world. 6. And the line of prophets has come to its final end in me. Hadith: Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah

SALAT: A PROTECTER IN THE GRAVE HONESTY,KINSHIP, KINDNESS PRAYER PROTECTER IN THE GRAVE Observe optional Fast ZAKAT Abu Hurayrah (RA) reported that Prophet (PBUH) said: 'The deceased can hear their footsteps as they depart from him. If he was a believer, prayer stands by his head, fasting stands to his right, zakah stands to his left and good deeds such as honesty, upholding ties of kinship and treating people kindly stand at his feet. HONESTY,KINSHIP, KINDNESS

WHAT SHOULD BE THE FIRST QUESTION ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT? The First Question Should be About As-Salat / Namaz “The Day that the skin shall be laid bare, and they shall be summoned to bow in adoration, but they shall not be able. Their eyes will be cast down, ignomity will cover them, seeing that they had been summoned aforetime to bow in adoration while they were whole, (and had refused) [The Noble Quran: Al-Kalam: 68: 42-43]. It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “The first thing among their deeds for which the people will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection will be prayer (Salat / Namaz). Our Lord will say to His angels, although He knows best, ‘Look at My slave’s prayer, is it complete or lacking?’ If it is complete, it will be recorded as complete, but if it is lacking, He will say, ‘Look and see whether my slave did any voluntary (nafil) prayers.’ If he had done voluntary prayers, He will say, ‘Complete the obligatory prayers of My slave from his voluntary prayers.’ Then the rest of his deeds will be examined in a similar manner.” [ Hadith: Abu Dawod, 864]. Note: On the Day of Judgement Allah (SWT) will ask all human being did you pray in the ‘Dunia’, every body will say yes, then He (SWT) will ask show me. Than they will not able to do “Ruku” or “Sujud”, their knee will not be fold, so their eye will cast down and they will fill shame in front of Allah, those who didn’t pray in this ‘Dunia’.

WHY WE HAVE TO PRAY SALAT? And I (Allah) have not created the Jinns and Human being but they should worship Me (Alone)." [The Noble Quran: Surah: Adh-Dhaariyat : 51:56] إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي Verily, I am Allah; there is no God beside Me. So serve Me, and observe Prayer for My remembrance. [The Noble Quran: Surah: Ta Ha:20: 14] Note: Allah (SWT) created Jinns and Human being solely to worship Him (SWT) alone. Therefore our main duty is to pray five times a day, and do everything in our daily life should be based on the instruction of the Quran and the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet (PBUH).

two RAKAT Salat: Better than the whole world & whatever in it Yes, performing these cycles (rakats) is better than the world and all of the things within it. [Hadith: Nawawi, Sharh Muslim] `Aisha (RA) relates that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “The two [sunna] cycles (rakats) of the morning prayer are better than the world and what it contains’ [Hadith: Muslim] Reason: It is better than the world because the world is perishing and its blessings are not free from the staleness of exertion and fatigue whilst the reward of performing these two sunna cycles (rakats) remains and does not become stale.” [ইনকিলাব ডেস্ক] Note: Just think about the value of one house (Bill Gate) in this world. How many house in this World, how much gold, diamond, silver etc, etc, and other assets and their total values. Two rakats morning salat is better than all the assets in this world. So how much attention we have to pay for Salat?

Punishment for not praying Salat "What led you into Hell-Fire? They will say; 'We were not of those who prayed” [The Noble Quran: Al-Mudddaththir:74:42-43]. "So woe to the worshippers who are neglectful of their Prayers, those who (want but) to be seen (of men)” [The Noble Quran: Al-Maun: 107:4-6]. "The hypocrites--they think they are over-reaching Allah but He will over-reach them: When they stand up to Prayer, they stand without earnestness, to be seen of men, but little do they hold Allah in remembrance” [The Noble Quran: An-Nisa: 4:142]. "So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray!” [The Noble Quran: Al-Qiyamah:75:31]. "And when it is said to them, 'Prostrate yourselves!' they do not so.  Ah woe, that Day, to the rejecters of Truth!” [The Noble Quran: Al-Mursalat: 77: 48-49].

What Should be our position if we don’t pray Salat If we don’t pray “Salat” a single day means we will violate 17 orders of Allah (SWT). Because Allah (SWT) order us in His Holy Quran: ‘Akimus Salat’ [Means: Establish Prayer] Ibless was a pious Jinn and he violated just only one order of Allah (SWT) and he became Saitan. Allah (SWT) mentioned in His Holy Quran: ,'' ---- so they prostrated, except for Iblees. [The Noble Quran: Surah: Al-Araf: 7:11-12]. Note: Allah (SWT) order us to Pray Salat in the following verses in His Holy Quran. If any one didn’t pray a day that means he/she violate 17 orders of Allah (SWT) per day. Because in a 24 hours time (a day) 17 rakat of Salat which is obligatory. Iblees was a Jinn, very pious, he just violated only one order of Allah (SWT) and became Iblish. But any one of us don’t pray Salat in a single day that means we will violate 17 orders of Allah (SWT) . So our position should be higher or lower than Ibless if we don’t pray? Think about it. 1.[2:3-5] 2. [2:43]. 3.[2:45] 4.[2:153]. 5.[29:45] 6.[15:98-99 7.[35:29-30] 8. [29:45] 9. [20:14] 10. [4:43] 11.[5:6] 12. [6:162-163] 13.[23:2] 14. [2:43] 15.[2:150] 16. towards character building SALAT: an instrument towards character building INNAS SALATA TANHA A'NIL FAHSHA-E-WAL MUNKAR Meaning: "Truly salah makes you fall back from vile and reprehensible deeds". “And establish regular Prayer: for Prayer restrains from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of Allah is the greatest without doubt. And Allah knows the (deeds) that ye do”. [The Noble Quran: Surah: Al-Ankabut: 29:45] Note: If any one prays five times a day with sincerity (Akhlas) and only for Allah (not for show-off), it is very unlikely for that person to get involve in: murder, abuse of power, family abuse, child abuse, authority abuse, drugs abuse, oppressed others, nudity, drinking alcohol, robbery, theft, suicide, destruction etc. In short, a peaceful life with positive mind and full of joys becomes a reality. Only one condition, try to perform five prayers on time consistently and sincerely with “Khusu”. Result is guaranteed. Allah (SWT) says (La Tabdilah Li Kalimatillah); Allah does not change his words. He (SWT) keep His promise. Allah said that if one performs the Salat (prayers) with sincerity and only to worship Him (no show off) then the person will not get involve in Fahisha (evil) and Munkar (bad) - the above mentioned underlined items. There are five types of Salat, Fardh (a minimum must), Waajib (a must), Sunnah Al Moakkidah (very strongly recommended), Sunnah Ghair Moakkidah (recommended) and Nafl (optional).

Salat is the toolto Achieve help from allah(SWT) يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَعِينُوا بِالصَّبْرِ وَالصَّلَاةِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الصَّابِرِينَ “Oh you who believe! Seek help through patience and Salah. Truly, Allah is with those who are patient.” [The Noble Quran: Surah Al- Baqarah 2:153]. Hazaifah (RA) says that, whenever the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) happened to face any difficulty, he (S) would at once resort to Salat [Hadith: Ahmad, Abu Dawud]. Note: What is our situation in case of difficulty / problem / any kind of hardship. Many people seek help from other deity beside Allah (SWT). Even many of us seek help from dead person, whose amal (deeds) has already been sealed after death. We have to follow the instruction of the Noble Quran as well as sunnah of our Beloved Prophet during our difficult situation. In between earth and Heaven there is no protector except Allah (SWT). He (SWT) is the Only One Who can remove our difficulty. Is there any doubt about it?.

Looser Those Who Don’t Pray salat “(And remain always) turning to Him (only), and be fearful and dutiful towards Him, and perform Salah and be not of those who commit Shirk.” [The Noble Quran: Surah Room: 30: 31] Leaving Salah Leads to Shirk. Previous Nations Were Corrupted When Salah Was Left. “Then, there came after them a generation who gave up Salah and followed lusts; so they will be thrown in Hell.” [The Noble Quran: Surah Maryam: 19: 59] “And nothing prevents their Sadaqah from being accepted from them, except that they disbelieve in Allah and in His Messenger, and that they do not come to Salah except in a lazy manner, and that they do not give Sadaqah except unwillingly.” [The Noble Quran: Surah Tawbah: 9:54] Laziness in Salah Leads to Rejection of Sadaqah. Note: On the above mention verse in the Holy Quran Allah (SWT) if any one don’t pray Salat / leaving Salat / give up Salat will be punish in Hellfire.

Prayer erase sins like water remove dirt Once the Prophet (PBUH) told his companions (RA): “The five set Prayers may be compared to a stream of fresh water, flowing in front of your house, into which you plunge five times each day. Do you think that would leave any dirt on your body?” They replied: “None at all!” The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Indeed, the five Prayers remove sins, just as water removes dirt.” [Hadith: Al-Bukhari: 528]

THE VALUE OF PRAYER Prayer is what angels love Prayer is the practice of The Prophets (AS) Prayer is the light of understanding Prayer is what makes faith strong Prayer is what makes actions accepted Prayer increases sustenance Prayers teaches punctuality - “surely prayers is time ordinance for believer “ Prayers prevents falsehood Prayers teaches patient during grief and difficult times Prayers prevents discrimination and Unites people Prayers is medicine against pride Prayers promote modesty Prayers is a process of self-purification & enforces taharat (cleanliness) Prayers keep one away from indecencies and prohibitions Prayers instill hope and removes sins Prayer is what Shaytan hates, Prayer is a weapon to confront your enemies, Prayer is what will assist you with The Angel of Death (AS), Prayers is key to paradise as well as best deed

WHAT WAS THE LAST WORD OF OUR BELOVED PROPHET (PBUH)? “As-Salat, As-Salat, Ma Malakat Aymanukum” Meaning: Namaz, Namaz, what your right hands possess. Hazrat Ali (RA) narrated that: the last words that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) spoke were, “The prayer, the prayer! and fear Allah with regard to those whom your right hands possess.” [Hadith: Abu Dawod (5156)and Ibn Majah (2698)] Note: Dear brother and sisters, prior to death of our beloved Prophet (PBUH) mentioned only one very important thing that is As-Salat / Namaj. He (S) didn’t mention anything about His (S) dearest daughter Fathema (RA), or dearest grandsons Hassan / Hossain (RA), or son-in-law Ali (RA)Or His (S) beloved companions (RA). So we have to realize that how important the Salat is. Not only that Allah (SWT) instructed us to pray Salat in the Holy Quran not only once or twice, eighty two (82) times. Therefore, we have to pay very serious attention in our daily Salat.

any kind of mistake in this manuscript] CONCLUSION Praying Salat is very important in Islam and it is the best Ibadath indeed. It should come as the first priority in our daily lives. Allah Almighty created us to Worship Him (SWT) only [The Noble Quran: 51:56]. A true believers should perform prayers (Salat) regularly.   Dear brothers and sisters, all of us want to achieve ‘Rahma’ (Mersey) from Allah (SWT) in this ‘Dunia’ and Hereafter, so please pray five times a day and don’t leave any ‘Salat’ until the Angel of death approach to us to take our sole. Oh Allah, give all of us ‘tawfique’ to pray Salat the way our beloved Prophet (PBUH) performed and instructed to perform the Salat that You accept. Oh Allah grant us permission on the Day of Judgement to inter into the Jannah through the gate of As-Salat. Ameen. [Oh Allah! You are Al-Ghafur, The forgiver and hider of faults. Please forgive me if I made any kind of mistake in this manuscript] খোদা হাফেয
