Formation of the United Nations The Allied Powers including the United States, China, Great Britain, and the Soviet Union met together to form the United Nations: an organization whose purpose was to serve as a forum where the nations of the world could meet and discuss problems rather than declaring war upon disagreement.

UN Water Campaign All 193 countries as part of the UN general assembly came together in 2010 to determine that 2013 would be the year that they would raise awareness for water access, allocation and services. As the world continues to modernize and grow, more and more people have needs for water. Nothing concrete has been accomplished yet, but if successful the water campaign could be a huge step toward making water accessible for everyone across the globe.
