LOCOG jobs Gearing up to the challenge in the host boroughs Nov 2010

Are you ready? Key actions 1.There will be more vacancies than any single organisation in the UK has ever dealt with before. Join up the organisations supplying labour in your area so you can work together 2.Check the readiness of the supply side organisations and their ability to respond –asses the caseload this summer so that you understand the volumes of jobs in the relevant sectors you will be targeting 3.Establish simple, regular communication arrangements - have a clearly identified communication route and stick to the protocols 4.Build the capability and capacity of advisers so that they understand the specifics of Olympic recruitment – it will be different to the job broking they are used to

Things to think about –What will your strategy be for the period immediately after the Games? –What will your strategy be for customer who do not meet the criteria for an Olympic Job ? –How will you deal with feedback to the customers ? –Share the best practice tools and techniques we have developed –Come and visit one of our labour market schemes
