15 APA STUDENTS EXEMPT FROM TAKING NJBCT  All students who are EXEMPT FROM TAKING the NJBCT MUST take the Alternate Proficiency Assessment (APA) in Biology as designated in each student’s IEP.  For enrollment purposes, a NJBCT Answer Folder MUST be submitted for all APA students receiving Biology instruction during the school year.  If an APA student responds to NJBCT items, the answer folder will be scored and an NJBCT score will be reported.

17 May 2010 NJBCT Advanced Placement Biology: ONLY if student did NOT take a Biology prerequisite = 41 Integrated Science: ONLY if course is an alternative to a Biology course and NOT a prerequisite for a Biology course = 52

18 May 2011 NJBCT For students without a Biology Pre-ID label Requisite Biology Course code (11 – 52) must be gridded in COURSE field. Scheduling Configuration code must be gridded in SCHED field: F = Full Year - September to May/June C = Current Semester - January to May/June P = Previous Semester - September to December/January

19 May 2011 NJBCT AT THIS TIME Students who previously failed the May 2008, May 2009, or May 2010 EOC do NOT re-take the test unless enrolled in a Biology course. Returning Students do NOT take NJBCT There are no retesters.

20 May 2011 NJBCT There is no IEP Exempt From Passing status. (Leave answer folder field blank).
