Prehistory: Australian Dinosaurs By Emma Semaan, Nikole Disnayaka and Laura Robinson

1. What is an amphibian An amphibian is a animal that lives on land or water. Eg: Crocodile Turtle Penguins

2. When did dinosaurs exist in Australia. Dinosaurs existed during the Triassic and cretaceous period.

3. Where was Australia when dinosaurs lived there When the dinosaurs lived in Australia was positioned in the Antarctic Circle

4. What was the climate like? The climate was different depending on the seasons. It was hot in summer an d the sun didn’t set for a few months. In winter it was very cold with a consistent darkness

Scientist have found fossil remains of ferns, ice cream cones and seeds near the brains of dinosaurs. Flowering plants were very rare. Some of the ferns growing in the dinosaur times are similar to the ferns growing in Australian gardens today.

7. Muttaburrasaurus Name: Muttaburrasaurus Found: Queensland, Australia Growth: Up to 7 metres Eats: Plants only, Herbivore Facts: It has a strange skull which has a hollow bony snout.
