The Polygon Project by Connor

Definition A polygon is a shape with 3 or more sides Poly means how many and gon means angles in the language of Greece

Triangle 3 sided 2D shape There are 6 different types of triangles the equilateral triangle, the scalene triangle, the isosolese triangle, the right triangle, the obtuse triangle and the acute triangle The equilateral triangle is the only triangle with equal sides All angles are acute 3 vertices

Square 4 sided 2D shape All the sides are the same length All angles are right 4 vertices

Rectangle 4 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are right 4 vertices

pentagon 5 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 5 vertices Irregular

Hexagon 6 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 6 vertices irregular

Heptagon 7 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 7 vertices irregular

Octagon 8 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 8 vertices irregular

Nonagon 9 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 9 vertices irregular

Decagon 10 sided 2D shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 10 vertices irregular

Dodecagon 12 sided shape All sides are the same length All angles are obtuse 12 vertices irregular

That’s all folks Thanks for watching
