FUNCTIONS AND OBJECTIVES: 1. INCUBATOR 2. REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

INCUBATOR Incubation Process - calls for applications twice a year - pre-incubation 3-6 months > business plan - incubation period year - post-incubation Services during the incubation period: - low rent - consultations - collaboration with partners - synergy in the house - cross-border contacts - joint marketing & developing export - study-trips, trainings, social networks

Current situation - 55 business plans - 20 entreprises rent rooms from the centre - Ca 50 people work in the centre: administration, artists, film producers, arts managers, craftsmen, landscape architects, 3D animators, designers, etc.

REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Objectives - Awareness raising - Networks and databases - Common brand – Creativetartu.ee - Export, fairs, festivals etc. - Cooperation projects with partners from EU - Priority fields (3D and 4D film-making, cultural managers)

Challenges and questions As an incubator: - experienced people with good ideas vs young and unexperienced starters - priority fields – yes or no? - thinking big / feeling small As a regional development centre: - cooperation with local authorities – possible or not? - common branding versus artists names - developing export – is it realistic?
